PRE-GAME RANT
Just realized Racki is soaking up the sun on a beach in Mexico and likely consuming a Corona or dos…
Quick thread creation here before my little one notices I’m on the laptop.
Oilers are struggling of late, but happily so are the Wild. The Wild are 2-5-3 in their last 10 while the Oilers have won 3 on their skid. Someone gets to go home happy tonight! This is the 6th and final matchup of the season and the Oilers need a win to get the spilt, although they have taken points in their losses as well, so expect another close one.
Whitney is still hurting and the sinus infected Hemsky is a game time decision. Khabibulin gets the start and lineups will likely look pretty similar to the Canuck’s game.

PRE-GAME RANT
Right now it sounds like Hemsky is doubtful for tonights game (sick). The media seems to still want to bash him for his practice commitment (or lack of). It is what it is though. And well, if he’s sick, he’s sick. So if he doesn’t play, then I think the Oilers will go with the line up below. Otherwise I’m going to assume that there will be a fair difference in the 3rd/4th lines given that Gagner, Lander and Jones skated in practiced together yesterday.
Khabibulin starts tonight, which is at least good. Should be a tough game, although they all seem to be these days.

PRE-GAME RANT
Minnesota, again.. this month is silly. I’d like to see some different opponents! Anyways, I’ll be at this one tonight.
Andy Sutton will be in tonight, playing with Theo Peckham, which means that Colten Teubert sits. Ryan O’Marra will be in, in place of Anton Lander who suffered from some sort of infected cut, apparently.
Since I’m at this one with my buddy Tim, this one is guaranteed loss night. So please don’t watch, as you won’t enjoy it. We’ve been to great losses such as the 10-2 Sabres stomping, and the 9-1 ass kicking the Oilers received courtesy of Chicago.
Prediction: 2-1 Wild. (But I’m hoping for a win!)

PRE-GAME RANT
So back to the building where the Oilers haven’t won in 17 straight games. No curse there, folks.. no curse. WE GOT THIS. It’s an early one today too. Who the hell plays hockey at 2PM?? The unemployed don’t even play hockey at that time. This is ridiculous. I’ll be missing this one while I’m stuck working. Maybe I can sneak away to a neighboring pub.
Anyways, I don’t see the Oilers breaking the streak against a team that is currently hot, but that sure would be nice and do wonders for our road confidence.
Alex Plante has been returned to Oklahoma City, as Ryan Whitney returns tonight. Lineup will be edited when I find out what is happening. Also returning tonight is Oil Change Season 2. Episode 2 airs tonight at 8pm on CityTV, then again on Sunday at 9pm on Sportsnet West.
No prediction today again, as we seem to be doing well when I’m not jinxing us.

PRE-GAME RANT
Tonight’s game might feature another new Oiler in Ryan Keller. He’s the guy pictured above with the dirty ‘stache. Sounds like there is a good chance he will play tonight. Shawn Horcoff is rumored to be battling the flu. Hopefully this flu bug ends very quickly. Get some shots or something, damn it. On a good note, Taylor Hall might be back tonight, as he sounds like he’s near 100% now. Khabibulin will get the start in net, which sounds like they’re going 50/50 with these goalies this year. So far, Dubnyk has been off and on, so I can kind of see the reasoning for it. Khabi has been good in his games so far (although one he was barely tested in)… so keep the rotation going until someone screws up royally.
I’ll be at the game for this one. Would love to see a win, however…
Prediction: 2-1 Wild.
