Andrew Cogliano Speaks About Trade

Andrew Cogliano talked with the media earlier today about the trade that didn’t happen. “When you’re watching TV and your name comes up, it’s pretty shocking. It was disappointing. I like being here. I want to be an Oiler. I want to play here, but I know this was a business move.” Sounds like Cogliano is saying all the right things here. Good to hear. The great burning Heatley bush bestows us with the blessing of a few words today

Note: this post will be updated later after the Heatley presser is over, and possibly again after Brian Murray’s press conference.

Ok, it hasn’t been that long since the last update, but because Dany Heatley always gets to be front page news, and because he gave a press conference about why he hates you (yes, you specifically), and because there’s actually a couple of other news items from around the NHL again, you get this update. Cut me some slack, this was done without photoshop

So there seems to be a decent amount of activity in the hockey world this week. Normally we would be sitting here, scraping the bottom of the barrel putting up tired, old topics of how to free up cap room as filler (or actually working at our real, full-time jobs). But now that there is actually something to talk about in the hockey world, I’m going to have to apologize (to myself and to Trogdor) for pushing some recent articles down.
