GDT - Edmonton Oilers at Colorado Avalanche
The Oilers hope another epic skid in Colorado tonight. They are now 1-13-1 in their last 15. Absolutely horrid. However the last two games have started to look up for the team. A tough loss in Pittsburgh in which they played a very solid game until the Pens’ Stall line exploited some holes in the team, and a loss against the Sharks where it was just a clear case of being beaten by one of the league’s best teams. There’s not really many ways to positively spin this teams failures as of late, however things have slowly been turning around, it seems. It isn’t helping that this injury/flu bug has continued to hit.
As for the Avalanche, they are currently on a 3-game winning streak with wins over the Sabres, Flames and Devils. The Avalanche are 10-5-0 in the last 15 games.
I’m not so sure the Oilers can overcome this one. Pay Per Views are generally duds as well too, so I don’t predict a win tonight. My prediction tonight, both heart/brain, is 3-2 Avalanche.

Not a fan of logo's with any swooshes...not easy at all.
Busy day at work here for all of us, so this will have to be quick. And I regret pushing that monster post down along with that pretty face, but its gameday so what are we to do?
We need to win. Oilers win 3-1.

I wonder what was done to piss off the hockey gods?
The pic above is just a placeholder for now, as I think Steve-O might put in one of his world-famous art creations in hopes of sparking a win out of the Oilers. So Steve-O, I’ll leave that up to you, if you want to whip up a picture.
The Oilers are going to try and hand the Avalanche their first home loss of the year. The Avalanche are a perfect 6-0 at home. The Oilers have had only 1 win on the road so far this year (against Nashville) in 6 games. The Oilers and Avalanche have met once this year (Oct 27) with the Avalanche blanking the Oilers 3-0, so the Oilers have their work cut out for them this time around, to say the least. The Oilers are even more beaten up now, as Ales Hemsky joins the list of injured players. He should be back soon, but did not fly to Denver with the team. GDT - Edmonton Oilers vs. Colorado Avalanche
Well the Oilers had a rough weekend, thanks mostly from the flu that’s been ravaging its way through the team. The weakened Oilers lost on Saturday 5-2 to the Calgary Flames and were blanked 2-0 against the Canucks on Sunday. The Avalanche, meanwhile, have been rolling along since the season started. They’ve only lost once in regulation time and are 8-1-2 to start the season. Their last game was against Detroit on Saturday, which was a 3-1 win. They’ve been riding on the spectacular goaltending of Craig Anderson, who has started all 11 of the Avalanche’s games so far this season and should get the start for Tueday night’s game versus the Oilers as well.
