- Eberle got selected to the All Star game, should be a nice little bonus on his pay cheque.
- Rumors abound about Hemsky being traded (booo personally) and Gagner being on the block (boo again). I wouldn’t do either unless you have a current top 4 D man coming back. Some other rumor monger is saying that there is interest in Peckham and Sutton too. What kind of rebuild trades away kids too?
League News
- All Star teams were picked, Eberle got selected by Team Chara. Couture ended up being picked last, and apparently got a old person car. Datsyuk was picked first, cause he’s pretty fucking awesome.
- Tim Thomas was a right wing nut bag, but meh. I would have personally loved to have gone to meet Obama and see the white house, but then again I’m Canadian and I’d be like a fucking tourist. “Look! That’s where JFK banged the shit outta Monroe!”
- Ovechkin got suspended 3 games for a high hit, and subsequently removed himself from the All Star festivities.
- Puck Daddy has an interesting contributor called The Player, who is a current player and offers some insight to the game. My guess is it is a college grad, and union rep. Since I am Oilers biased, I’m guessing Horcoff.

I didn't hate this movie as much as most did apparently.
Hello strangers! Well, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve thrown up a MMS, and to be honest it was difficult to get around to this. The Oilers have damn near killed my interest in the NHL for the season it seems like. I’m still watching the games but it’s tough to sit through some of these games. Even the games in the dark ages were easier to watch (although to be fair, we can’t really call them the dark ages anymore can we?). Looking at the numbers of the site the past little bit, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels the same.
And it’s been minus 30 fucking degrees all week, that sucks too.

I’m putting this up early so I don’t have to remember in the morning (which isn’t my best time), plus since I’ve missed a couple MMS’s hopefully this pic will make up for it.
Well, this is the half way point in the season. Yet another season of rebuilding, but if you listen to Tencer we’ve only been rebuilding since 2010 so I guess it’s not so bad, right? In good news, the Oilers had a pretty good showing defense wise in the world juniors (4 D played, Kelfbom won gold and was named a tourney all-star; plus Marincin, Musil and Gernat). Makes the future look a little bright, however we all know with D they don’t progress in a straight line. Just look at Smid. Started playing with us in 06/07, and just now looks like a player that is a difference maker. Read more »
