And I finally get around to continuing on with the break it down series. The others can be found at the following location. This one will specifically talk about the goaltending situation, and what a clusterfuck it is. Our starting goalie, one might say our “MVP”, is a drunk felon (not to mention injury prone ...

Continuing on with my series of posts that break down the Oiler’s different areas, today we look at the defense. Last year I mentioned how I thought that we had a really strong D-core, and how we had positioned ourselves going forward as well with lots of good youngsters. Well, there are 3 players that ...

Well considering that it looks as though the GM has finished making his moves for the year, and that training camp will be starting sooner than later I figured that I should get on this and take a look at the team in the coming year. Again, much like I did last year, I am ...

Hidden in the latest Oilers news regarding the new Rogers Sportsnet agreement was this little gem: This agreement will also mean Oilers and Flamers fans will no longer have to rely on Pay-Per-View broadcasts in order to view games not otherwise being broadcast. Well that’s just peachy.

As per TSN site: The Edmonton Oilers housecleaning is well underway as forwards Ethan Moreau, Robert Nilsson and Patrick O’Sullivan were all placed on waivers on Tuesday setting in motion the buyout process. I know Racki will be happy, but I am more of this mind. But no big deal. Only one of my most ...

Racki seems to be slacking off on the Oilers news front (moving), so I’ll have to pick up some of the slack here. Today from the Oilers site: General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have issued qualifying offers to the following players: Gilbert Brule Andrew Cogliano Jeff Deslauriers Devan Dubnyk Colin Fraser ...

The draft is here! Well, in 15 min. But it’s here and this should be the very bottom that the Oilers can get. In 20-25 minutes it should be nothing but upwards to better things. Anyways, here is a post that we can have a lively discussion re: the draft. I’ll also do some live-blogging ...
