Montreal is in town which means half of the usual Oiler fans will transform into Les Habitants tonight.  In games like this where the crowd is split it’s good to get on the board early to silence the away faction.  Montreal is sitting at 1-2-0 as are the Oilers, so both will be hungry for the win.  Oilers have some momentum after an exciting 3rd period offensive outburst against the Devils on Monday night.  Tonight’s plan should be to have the scoreboard read 3rd period from the get go.  The boys need to come out flying and take it to the Habs.  That and maybe play RNH for 40 minutes tonight.

Dubnyk gets the start and hopefully does some of his own silencing of the early season critics.  He’s had two shaky starts though and as LaBarbera has our only win thus far, he’s got some work ahead of him.

Smyth will be back on the ice tonight as well and will be looking to have a solid game to earn himself some further ice time.

Grebeshkov is getting close, meeting with the doctor tonight for clearance.  Joensuu will be joing the team on the road trip, while Potter and Gagner have done some skating.  Eakins will have more options for juggling soon aside from Gagner who still has a ways to go.

Smid – Petry
Ference – J.Schultz
N. Schultz – Belov

Dubnyk – LaBarbera
