well put. no surprises here. I assumed Nash would wait the full 7 days but i suspect with Nash off the market yesterday there is no point in keeping phillys assets tied up in league controlled limbo.

Really I think the Preds had to match. That team would be in shambles losing both Weber and Suter. Yah, lots of cash for them up front, but they need guys like Weber to keep them bringing in playoff cash.

Something tells me that the Preds will find a singular owner with big pockets at some point in time. The market defiantly has potential.

Also: I am a Titans (NFL) fan and read the Nashville papers quiet often. I remember reading an article about how the Preds, just recently signed a favorable lease agreement @ bridgestone arena.

Yeah but the word around the league is this kind of contract is literally more than they make at the gate in the first three years just to pay him. I agree though, great for Preds fans. I would like to see offer sheets removed from the CBA to tell you the truth. They always end up screwing over at least one team. I just think it is classless and mean spirited. Rozsival and Campoli are smiling now. They will get contracts in the next week now.
