Yah, I actually personally hope he spends another year in Sweden too, rather than making a good impression in training camp and earning a job (and potentially being brought in too early). I think he’s a good prospect in our system and will be one of those guys that didn’t really get much hype around with the likes of Hall, RNH, Eberle, but surprises us.

I agree somewhat, I’d say seeing how slowly both Pääjärvi and Lander have adapted to the NHL and the adjustments needed to play on the North American ice, I would have loved to hear that he was coming over to embrace a season in OKC. I think a flaw with the swedes might be in thinking how easily they’ll adjust to the new arena size, and how fast the game is played. Also a belief that the SEL is better then the AHL, which is false. Although a season where he plays a much larger role in the SEL isn’t all bad, and realistically it’s getting crowded down in the farm.
