I'm looking forward to watching the Oil Kings in the Memorial Cup! I've never seen them play so it will be nice to see an Oiler-affiliated team in a playoff situation again. Watch out for the Sea Dogs though, they haven't missed a beat from their championship season last year...

Agree with Steve-o's assessment on all those players. I'll also reiterate some tweets here.... the Flames had two spectacular players in the series. One was Laurent Brossoit, goalie for the Oil Kings. The other was Sven Bartschi. Bartschi seemed dangerous on every shift he had in the first 5 games or so. As for Brossoit.. wow that kid is athletic. Reminds me of Garon when it comes to covering the bottom of the net well. I think he is superb positionally as well too. I never really noticed him making any mistakes either. The Oil Kings would not have won the last series if not for him.

I also have to say I have a McGuire-sized man crush on Mark Pysyk. He's rock solid at both ends of the ice, always makes the smart play, and never gives up on a play either. He is 20 years old now though, so I suppose this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise.

This series was great. OK pretty much walked through the first 3 rounds without any issues, but the Winterhawks matched up well against us and lead to some incredibly exciting games.

Watch for this Lazar kid, lead the team in playoff points (at least thru the first 3 rounds, got shut down vs. Portland) and he's only a rookie.

Reinhart had some great games, more good games but also had a few duds. Gernat...he's dangerous. When he's on the ice there is a good chance that someone will be scoring.

Pysyk is the best player on the ice most often. Really good player.

Finally, hopefully Tambellini was watching this cause it's nice to see what a team with great depth can do. 4 good lines, 2 solid D pairings (to be honest, the 5-6 spot was kind of a shit show) and good goaltending means you can win.
