PRE-GAME RANT
The Oilers will be without Taylor Hall tonight. Speculation is that he’s re-injured his shoulder. Linus Omark has been recalled from Oklahoma City. The media seems to have caught wind that this is game number 4 in 4 nights for Omark (should he play). So I’m not so sure that Omark will just slot into Hall’s spot on the top line, but that’s where I’ve penciled him in until I hear otherwise.
No word on goaltending yet either, but I assume Dubnyk starts.
Sorry, not a lot of info for this GDT just yet. Will update if I find out anything else.
Edit: Sounds like Hall will play tonight, as he’s been cleared to play (should we be worried?). Also, Khabibulin gets the start tonight. Omark might still play. If he does, my guess is that he’ll slot in with Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle, and perhaps Petrell bumps down to Hordi’s spot (who would sit). This is just me guessing though.

St. Nikolai’s playing, Hall is ready to play, although Renney hasn’t decided who of Omark and Hall he’s going to put out there. So, should he aggrevate Hall’s injury or drive Omark through the floor with the tank nearly on empty from the recent schedule he’s been through?
We ought to sign Barret Jackman in the off-season.
I’d sooner play Omark. Yes, he’s played a bunch of games in a row, but I’d rather see them sit the guy with a potential long term injury brewing. Ideally, neither plays… but that wouldn’t be very fun to watch.
Hall’s been cleared to go, so it sounds like he’ll be in tonight. Omark could still play tonight though.
