It's interesting to note some of the games we've had this year. Edmonton is a team that I think can get outworked easily by the gritty teams. But if a team wants to play high-flying offense vs. us, they will likely get steamrolled.

Remember when we were that team beating the high-flying teams with hard work? Now it seems like we have the skill to be the team that can score a shit-load of goals when they play hard. But it still seems that that compete level and consistency isn't there yet. Once that all comes together, yes, this team will be scary dangerous, I'm sure.

With experience for Hall, Ebs, Gagner, and Nuge, and others vs. tough opponents, learning how to beat them, I think they'll be competing alongside the top names in the NHL. Hell, Eberle already is.

Chicago has found out twice what happens when you try to open it up against Edmonton - and the bothersome thing about last night is that their best player wasn't even playing. ( nugent-Hopkins ) Now they are going to get yet another top pick this year.

The thing the flames management doesn't seem to get is that those top 1st overall picks are franchise players that you can never trade for - the only way to get them is to blow up your team and be terrible for three or four years straight. We don't have anything even close to a Taylor Hall in our system - they have three plus are getting another one this year.

In two or three years regrettably the oilers are going to be looking a lot like the oilers of the Gretzky era loaded with an absolute unfair amount of superstars - and what are we going to have to compete with them against. I have a bad feeling everyone might as well get used to games like last night when playing the oilers in a few years.

Apparently a few people down there are seeing what's actually happening... I hope we can make this guy 100% correct in the very near future...
