PRE-GAME RANT

Holy mother of all forehead zippers, Hall. That thing is nasty. Corey Potter just aged him 10 years by receding his hairline back a fair bit. That thing is going to leave a beauty scar. The ladies will give him some sympathy love, not that he needs the help. Hall will definitely miss this one, but he was quoted as saying: “I’m feeling better. I’d like to thank our trainers & the Columbus medical staff.” He also convinced (not verbally) the rest of his teammates to don buckets in pregame warm ups now.

Anyways, on the good news front, Jordan Eberle will play. Tonight. Not sure who his linemates will be, however. My best guesstimate is below.

EDIT: Official lines are up now.. Ben Eager on line 1!!! Crazy. He’s got wheels to keep up to the play though and net presence… so you just never know. Could be interesting. It sounds crazy though. It might be this year’s Toby Petersen, JFJ or Georges Laraque equivalent though.

   I can imagine if Hall needed 33 stiches to clothes his face up then his face must still be pretty swollen & sore today. Might take a few more days before its healed enough to play. Good news Eberle should be back right away but to be an effective, serious scoring threat this team needs to have all it’s top six players fully operational & firing on all cylinders.

   Holy shit, Ben Eager has been bumped to line 1… will play with Gagner and Hemsky. Crazy, but who knows.. crazier things have worked. Perhaps this year’s equivalent of Toby Petersen though.

   I think there could be a lot more upside to Eager’s games especially if he plays with talented forwards and his role ist to setup a net presence, think Smyth with a bit more bulk and wheels. You never know.

    I’ve never been to TMZ, haven’t heard good things about it. Went there for the first time “ripped his skull open”, journalism 101 doesn’t apply. I laughed.
