Oh boy, two teams headed in different directions. Hawks are 8-2 in the last 10, and the Oil are the opposite… Time to turn things around. Well, that would have been 4 or 5 games ago, so we’re far passed time to turn it around. Game 3 of the season that these two teams face off, with the Oilers winning the last contest a lopsided 9-2. Hopefully there are no hard feelings.

Dubnyk slots in tonight and Teemu Hartikainen has been recalled with Petrell going down to make room for the move. I really liked what I saw from Teemu last year. Hopefully he injects some enthusiasm into the line up that will kick start this young squad back to the right side of winning. Jones has skated with the team as well after leaving late after a blocked shot in the Isles game.

OILERS LINES (projected)

Hall – Nugent-Hopkins – Eberle
Smyth – Horcoff – Jones
Eager – Belanger – Gagner
Hordichuck – Lander – Hartikainen

Smid – Gilbert
Peckham – Potter
Teubert – Petry

The Nuge hurt (shoulder) and Gilbert as well (knee). Fantastic. I hope the Nuge will be OK.. anyone watching can update on what happened? Does it look serious? Would hate for our first ever Calder possibility to be derailed.

Win!! I only saw that last 10 minutes so didn’t see the injuries live, but I just saw Carcillo’s hit on Gilbert (there’s a YT on a thread in the NHL forum of HF Boards) and it was nasty – took himself out on the play as well. Didn’t see what happened to RNH. Hope neither are serious/long term but that Gilbert hit looked pretty bad.

Seriously. Seriously??! F>cking injuries, I’m so done with that shit.

Glad about the win. About time.

We won the battle but lost the war. The Nuge injury I’m not really sure, looked like he kinda hit a rut and went awkwardly into the boards. It didnt look too, too bad *knocks on wood* but you never know.

Gilbert is having a wicked season, his incident look serious, it’s too bad. I really hope he can make it through and it isn’t too serious.

If either Gilbert or the Nuge go out for an extended period this team is going I have to dig deep, real deep.

He caught a rut and went sliding shoulder first into the boards
