Corey Potter signs extension with the Oilers
The Oilers have re-signed defenseman Corey Potter to a 2-year, one-way deal.
Potter is currently earning $525,000 and is on a 2-way deal with the Oilers. The new contract will kick in for next year, in which Potter will earn $750k the first year and $800k the second year, for a cap hit of $775k.

This is great news. I’m a fan of Potter. He’s been one of few bright spots on our season. I always appreciate the right-handed defensemen more too because generally they are a little less common.
Glad to see that they signed him to a cheap deal too.
Agreed. Good stuff! Been to a couple of games and watching him on and off the puck he’s a welcome addition. Hopefully the level of play stays constant though.
Excellent !!!
