The passing play that made Hall’s goal was a taste of hockey delight. I can watch that all day.

Not the most impressive offensive game, but they kept it close. On another night we’d get 5 PPGs and kill it in the second, or get crushed by superior opponents even earlier. The close score was a bit coincidental tonight.

I feel for the Gagner-Belanger-Pääjärvi line, they aren’t firing much. Must be frustrating.

renney was pretty quick to remove omark fom the lineup due to bad reads. . . gags should have been ditched after fluffing pucks all night vs vancouver…and again tonight. Omark should drraw back in and Gags should learn how to pass more than 2 feet. I want to see the swede line. its about time we get some scoing from our 3-4 line boys and i trust lander AND the other two more so than gags or eager on the back check. petrell belanger and eager would be petty sweet. would be sweet.

Major credit to Khabibulin for this win. I have been suspecting that his numbers have been the benefit of a solid defense, however tonight he was friggen phenomenal and stole the game. The fans were chanting “Khabi! Khabi!”.. good to hear. I like these stories like Penner and such where a player bounces back to win fans over. We all know how awful he’s been in the past, so to see him bounce back is nice to see.

I’m so happy! I’m starting to have some hope for this season.

The schedule maker is an idiot. Here tonight and Colorado tomorrow. That means the Oilers will be in Denver by 0300 (My friend is the head flight attendant for the Oilers Air Canada charter this season). Playing in the mile high city without a chance to adjust to altitude is UGLY. So they should try and throw everything they have at Washington tonight. Washington is due for a loss, and I will predict a 5-4 Oilers victory, followed by a 6-1 loss to the Avs tomorrow. Go Oilers Go, can’t wait to see what this team will be capable of doing once a healthy Hemsky is back.
