There wasn't even time to rage quit this game if one wanted to. Sapped all my energy that goal did.

No more of this please.

Played a better game than the away matchup against Minnesota though.

Yeah these last 2 games hurt but I am looking past it for now. IMO the fact that we have not lost a game by more then a goal is very encouraging so far. Really impressed with Khabby so who would have thunk it?) D looks superb. Now all we have to do is learn to finish off games and get the offense going.

The last 2 games have felt like Charlie Brown getting the football pulled out...

That said I think the big problem is just everyone getting used to each other. There were a lot of "almost" plays, passes that were just out of reach, or just a moment hesitation between finding the puck passed to you and taking the shot, and ringing ones off the post etc. The only thing that fixes that is playing and practicing together. Give the boys time to figure out where they are going to be on the ice for each other and the goals will come.

Then hopefully we can spend the last minutes of the game high-fiving and drinking instead of anxiously waiting for the other team to score and ruin our 1 goal lead.

Oilers needed to battle harder for Khabi in this one. He played an incredibly solid game. Mind you, that goal they scored shouldn't have gone in. But it happens. He played a hell of a game. This was a "mostly good" game played by the Oilers. They really need to figure out a way to put the puck in the net. Maybe they need more guys who play a simpler game. Like, I love Omark, Paajarvi, Hall, Eberle, The Nuge, etc... but maybe we just need to pull one of those guys out for a bit and put in a guy like Hartikainen who will just drive to the net and score a dirty goal. When the puck isn't going in, you simplify things rather than getting cutesy and making the big plays. That hockey sure is fun to watch though.
