Any of these “hey look! ads!” posts are just to let you know we have this thing available that would go to helping the hosting costs without costing people any more money than they would have already spent anyways. We’re not at any point where we’re begging for spare change

As far as a cheap host, we already learned before that you get what you pay for. Unlimited really isn’t unlimited for anyone. Shared hosting (which is what your cheaper hosts would be) isn’t a good option for us either, because the site gets too slow when a bunch of people are on it. Every time we make a twitter post (ex. a new post that automatically tweets there is a new post), a bunch of people jump on at once, and this would cause probs on shared hosting.

We’re fine with our current host, and even paying for the full amount if need be. So while we are grovelling, we’re really not grovelling as bad as it appears Recovering the cost of the site would be a nice thing, but we’re not going to have to shut down because of the overwhelming cost, or anything. We’d be happy if the site was self sufficient though.

So, to summarize… we’d love it if you placed an Amazon order through the site if you needed to order stuff off Amazon, and we’d love it if you placed an order through the NHL shop if you needed to order to stuff from the NHL shop. Otherwise, we’ll keep on keepin’ on and be fine.
