I think you hit the nail on the head with this thought process, it’s really the only thing (outside of insanity) that makes sense!

I’m just hoping he realized it was a stupid signing and has just been trying to save face since

Yeah, I would think we have to have homosexual images of a GM to pull off that kind of trade. Still not sure that’s enough.
