Do you think Gagner plus our 31st pick plus say a 3rd rounder gets us Carter? It frees up the cap space Philly needs and gives them a young cheap center.

Then lets say it takes our first and nineteenth pick for Fla’s third and Gudbransen?

Damn! heading into a long future with two high end centers like Carter and Couturier and then Horcs as an elite third line C, sprinkle in some Lander, Pitlick, Martindale and VV waiting in the wings…Yes plz!! Our top 4 winger corps is already pretty fucking elite going forward with Hall, Hemsky, Eberle and MPS, plus Omark, Cogs, Brule, Hartikainen, Jones, as depth wingers look pretty damned good too, especially when paired with high end centers…

Plus we’d have that high end big mean stud D prospect in Gudbransen that we desperately need!! Daaaamn!

I think I’d still like to see the D shored up a little with at bare minimum a UFA signing like a Bieksa, or even better a Bieksa and a Wisniewski, and ideally a more seasoned center that can win some draws like a Malhotra type…overpay for two/three years if we have to, make the team respectable for the current NHL’ers and buy some development time for the young stars…

oh and get Victor Fasth over here, let him and DD fight for the starting spot and bury Khabi in the minors…
