PRE-GAME RANT

Hooray, HNIC on a Thursday! Too bad I’ll be playing walleyball… The Habs are in town tonight for a warm up match before playing the “Heritage Classic” down in cowtown on Sunday. The Oilers have taken the previous and only other game this season in Montreal, but needed a shootout to finish it. The Habs have cooled off and are nursing a few injuries, so hopefully we get the same effort we did on Monday and the boys impress. Horcoff had a big 3 point night to lead the team, time for another speech?

Not a big deal but didn’t Penner Score the winning Goal on a breakaway in overtime in the last meeting? Not in the shootout.

Anyways Gilbert Brule is expected to draw back into the lineup after this game and that begs the question of who gets sent down. Reddox will have to clear waivers and Omark does not. At this point I would say it’s probably best for Omark to return to OKC and help the Baron’s in their quest for a playoff spot even though it would be sure to spark a revolt from the Cult like Omarkian fans.

or maybe there’s a trade in the works?

    I feel a trade!

Started watching this game with my Hab fan hubby who predicted a 6-1 victory for his team. He went to bed after the Oilers made it 3-1.

Nice win tonight, good game by Khabi.

MO, you are correct sir. Heard it on the radio a few times that it was an OT win. Not the first time oilers.com has fed my false information…

Sounds like the Habs pushed back in the 2nd, but happy to see the Wall held strong and the team hung on to win their 2nd in a row. Nice they’ve been at home too as the fans deserve a little bit of happy at the very least for the ticket price.

Watched bits of the first, pretty much all the second and entire third period. A win will raise most the players stock although Gags seemed a little distant tonight and Gilbert’s stock may have dropped a few points. I wish Wreckem’ could have taken over for Horc but it looked like he drew blood. Exciting game but looking towards the future.

Yeah I myself have seen the misinformation on Oilers.com quiet regularly.

Yeah Wisniewski dropped immediately and flicked off his glove, I thought “hes hurt” then they showed the blood pool spreading out from under his hands. Hall’s shot ripped him open. Quite the game though. Bulin looked like the Bulin of old.
