Monday Morning Standings
Late again, but work has been pretty busy this week.
Some housekeeping. Inmotion hosting sucks balls. As you all know from this past weekend. So Racki went and found a new host. This new place costs money. More money. While we were willing to eat $100ish per year, the new $600 price tag isn’t something that I want to do. So you’ll probably be seeing advertising to cover some of those costs.
Also, you should see the second quarter review soon. I’m currently not happy with the team, so that should be fun.
The Oilers are a terrible team. Since Renney mentioned that the team had a chance to make the playoffs the team has only won twice. I fucking hate tanking too. I just can’t get excited for losing.
Hemsky’s hurt. Whitney out for season. Horcoff and Eberle are still hurt. Khabibulin still sucks. Tambellini still needs to assess the bottom 6 forwards.
Sigh. Anyways I’ll move on to stuff that doesn’t make me want to choke out Tambellini.
Looks like a possible jersey change for the Oilers next year. Found link on Puck Daddy.
Also looks like the Oilers may start next season in europe. This didn’t matter to me in the slightest until I remembered that I may be in the area for one of these. Then I got kinda happy.
Also, Hemsky, Eberle and Hall all got selected to the all-star game. Hemsky for the actual game, and Eberle and Hall for the skills competition (as rookies). Omark was also selected for the AHL all-star game.
In other league news…well I don’t really recall anything interesting that has happened. But the HBO 24/7 has finished up and if you haven’t seen it then I really really recommend that you do. Great television.
Anyways, on to the standings:

OKC Barons
The Barons currently sit 8th in the conference, only 1 point up on 9th but with 2 games in hand. Giroux is second in league scoring with 48 points in 44 games. Brad Moran is sitting 12th with 37 in 44 games. Reddox is third on the team in scoring with 33 in 37 games, and Omark is still at 31 in 28 games. Gerber is sitting at a .916 sv% and 2.58 GAA, while JDD is a .893 sv% and 3.12 GAA.
Oil Kings
Something that I’ve wanted to do for a while is include some Oil Kings stuff here. Will be much like the Barons update.
The Oil Kings currently sit in 7th in the conference. Michael St. Croix sits 18th in the league in scoring with 52 points in 43 games. Dylan Wruck and Jordan Hickmott are second and third in team scoring respectively with 50 and 44 points. Oilers prospect Abney only has 9 points in 34 games, and only 43 pims (team leader has 88).

I was looking forward to this MMS because there should have been a write-up stating my triumphant climb from the basement of FOILED AGAIN TOO, to the penthouse of spot #1. But alas.. nothing. Oh well, here it is. Consider this me bragging, and likely jinxing myself!
On the note of advertising… I’ve been checking our server stats (I now have the power to do so.. mu-ha-ha). I wouldn’t say “InMotion sucks balls”. They were right. I’m not happy with how they dealt with it, but the site was too hard on a shared hosting platform and would have lagged other websites on that shared server. We definitely needed an upgrade. I’m not even 100% sure that even on this new platform we still wouldn’t need an upgrade…
So if we start doing ads, and we generate some good cash, that money will be going towards better servers.
Don’t worry though, if we do advertise, we’ll make sure that it’s nothing too bad. Probably just porn ads and dong enlargement ads that take up your entire screen and don’t allow you to close them.
Dong enlargement AND pictures like that one? Overkill.
I was hoping the jersey change would mean going away from the retro…but alas, more retro. Fashion, regressive stuff. I hear Baroque is coming back soon.
Sad state for Deslauriers, whose stats appear to mimic Khabibulin’s…
No ads for the ladies?
As for the pool, I wish my guys would start scoring again. Every single guy is in a slump.
That was fricken funny! I also appreciate the candor on the update.
You guys rock!
So how does that dong enlargement work? A…friend of mine wants to know.
Ah ha ha ha ha
Sound is a must…and flash.
That blonde german beer girl is smokin’! No need for dong enlargement.
Too bad last nights game was shieza!
You should watch kids Adrian Van de Mosselaer with the Edmonton Oil Kings. He is thde team leader with 88 PIMS. He is one tough SOB. In the last 3 games he has sidelined the captains of the Wheat Kings and the Warriors, and last night the assistant Captain of the Ice, all with hard hits. This follows a suspention just beforte Christmas (for hitting too hard). go on youtube and search mosselaer. you will se the hits
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xnEaMOq2Us
here is one
Yeah, I remember seeing him play earlier in the year. I don’t get out to watch as many Oil Kings games as I would like but I might soon just based on the general crappiness of the Oilers.
Anywhere you can find out if that kid is drafted? Hockey DB and the WHL site have nothing.
If Hockey DB doesn’t have a draft line for him then that means he wasn’t drafted. He may have been signed as a free agent though, but I’m going to assume that hasn’t happened either. But definitely undrafted.
