Yeah, Foster is sure exposed on this team. I agree with the sentiments that he should be dealt at the trade deadline for anything. We signed him as an UFA, so any gains are pure gains as far as a trade goes. Besides, it's not like we don't have depth guys to fill in. Chorney has made huge strides in his own end and plays a more physical game now. I like it.

We also have lots of other guys we could call up if need be. Let's face it, he's shown what he's capable of, now he's expendible. The rest of the year should be about putting those D prospects into the NHL for stints to see if we have an internal solution or how much more they may need to develop in the AHL or get released or whichever situation is appropriate for a given player.

Say what you will about MAB, but at least he was good on the PP.

@ OinB & Racki, yup I am so done with the Foster experiment. He might be the kind of guy you pick up as a PP specialist on an already solid Dcore (ala MAB) but he's practically useless in our lineup.

On Cogs: You can't fault the guy for his efforts for sure but I just don't see his game improving much more than the level he's at now. Unless he goes to Detroit of course lol.

Racki: Yah good call on the defence and goaltending. I watched the replay of Foster getting one-punched by Morrow. He had his arms tied up at the time, so it was a cheap shot by Morrow. I give Foster credit for playing gritty tonight, but that guy is such a liability defensively.

Dont know if you saw at the end of the fight morrow got off foster and patted him on the bum in a non condescending way. It made me think Morrow probably didnt want to catch him defenseless but it happened. Morrow is pretty classy so ill read that into it without verbal proof to back it up. cheap shot yes... intentionally cheap no. like a bar fight other people got involved and thats the unknown variable that happens. Foster trying to cross check morrow in the head was bad... good thing he missed the first attempt that was really well placed height wise. that would have been 5-8 games.

Khabi was terrible. Cogs had a good game but again gets pushed around like he weighs a feather yet eberle hall chorney and even omark hardly ever get pushed over when they arent in full stride (and thus off balance in place). cogs gets his footing and still gets pushed over by my 82 year old neighbour. Good game for him though when he could stand up.
Foster is a lost cause.
Pecks looks hungry for round 2.
Way to go Mac... nice deflection for the assist.
Do we need khabi right now? seriously?
Khabi ... yikes.

Only saw the highlights.
Jonesy's goal - stellar
Sucker punch on Foster - not cool
Foster sticking up for Omark - solid. We have people that fight now?
Khabiboozin' - a little shaky

Consolation prize - at least the Flames lost too.
Edit: 41 shots is a herculean effort. I'm proud of that.
