Trogdor: I do like that I missed most of the low lights and saw most of the highlights last night, so I can say my kid’s timing is impeccable. I really think Hall should have gotten the nod in the shootout last night, even more so after watching Penner lumber in. The kid has proven many times over that he knows what to do on a breakaway, and his NHL mojo could have used a goal to get him on track.

To say Penner was lumbering last night would be like saying Rita MacNeil is a little heavy! I hope he's injured or sick because he showed no punch or emotion & I could have skated circles around him. I've been a Penner supporter ever since he came to Edmonton but last night I wanted to punch him in his beer gut.

Maybe Khabdublauriers has his number in the practice shootout. Ditto on Horcoff, who is our best shootout..er. Shootouter.

I don’t think Hall will get a shot until he busts his nut in an actual game. Not scoring in the shootout might beat him down even more.

Plus all the teams do a shootout drill in practice, and if he isn’t shooting I am assuming he’s not scoring all that much in that drill either.

Thanks for the recaps, guys! I missed pretty much all of the game except the shootout and it’s nice to read a fan perspective that was something other then “We lost! Waaaa!”
