Yah I honestly think (and hope) the Oilers will try to move him right up until the start of the season, and if there are no takers, he’ll hit the waiver wire. If no takers on that either.. well.. we’ll see.

Wang has been very vocal about how much money he’s lost on the island. You’re right about the cash. I always thought a re-build there is pointless. They’ve been re-building for two decades. It amazes me the talent that has gone through that organization only to be frittered away. Anyway, that’s for a different topic.

I’d say that if Tambellini moves out Souray in any fashion that does not hinder the club’s salary structure (no cap hit) then it’s a superb job by him.

We may see another waiver situation here soon if there are not more injuries on other teams’ bluelines.

Yah I still don’t see it happening. While they have the cap space opening up, they still are shelling out the salary, and that’s what is more important to them. They also signed Mottau today, but he isn’t exactly on par with Souray, offensively or physically (to put it politely).

Yeah, it seems likely. Maybe there is a bird in the bush on NYI.

Okposo is injured and Streit too. Lots of suggestions and unfounded rumours about Souray and Cogs.

We’ll see I guess.

I think Vande Velde will be that guy in the future, but I’d have to figure he’s due for some AHL seasoning first.
