Oilers sign Reddox

Reddox re-signs

As per the Oilers website:

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with left-winger Liam Reddox on a one-year contract.

Reddox, 24, played 70 games with the Springfield Falcons last season collecting 35 points (18G,17A). He also appeared in nine games with the Oilers posting two assists.

    Yeah, Reddox is a great guy for versatility. Good on the farm and capable for callups and injuries.

    I’m still a bit surprised he didn’t go to Europe though after his contract dispute last year. Perhaps the opportunity was not there.

    I like Reddox, just not on the Oilers top lines.

    I feel like I need to say that everytime Reddox comes up. Definitely a hard working player, seems like he wants to be a regular NHL’er really bad. He’s kind of got a bunch of obstacles stacked infront of him, but who knows, some guys have enough determination and are willing to work that much harder than the next guy and they end up cementing themselves with a club.

    Here is a kid eho gives him best every nigh,t and never takes a shift off. He always tries 100%. He is good AHL depth and can play at the NHL level making him a good injury callup. Nothing more than depth, but I like Liam and I’m glad he is back for another season.
