Not sure where you are located.. the only troubles I had were watching local games within my province (which would be Calgary and Edmonton). Other than that, I was able to watch everything else. You must be in an area that’s close to the teams you wanted to watch or something…?? I can say that the blackouts were a pain because even though Calgary was blacked out for me, I had no possible way to watch it.. it wasn’t on TV here.

That’s easily the biggest flaw with this service.

Worst decision ever. Understood that there was black outs, but not every game. 100% regret this. Even wanting to watch other teams such as Caps vs Pens was blacked out. 100% of the games I have wanted to watch have been blacked out.

That’s the thing.. it’s NOT for local fans. It’s for “displaced” fans. I mentioned this in the review too that it’s not good at all for local fans. But if your favorite team is elsewhere, than this is quite good.

NHL Gamecenter is a total waste of money. Many people don’t have cable TV or might not have Versus as part of their package. Spending $170 and you can’t even watch your local team? The NHL wants more blood from the fans. This kind of greed is outrageous. If like many, you thought you could buy Gamecenter just to watch your local hometown team, you’re out of luck. Unless you’re a crazy NHL fan and must watch games from other markets (which you don’t control which), this product is of little value.

Thanks Chappy. Yah the price tag is a bit rough, but I think they also drop it part way through the season too. Of course that doesn’t give you a way to watch games in the first half, but it’s a good discounted way to fill time in the summer and if your team is out of the playoffs.
