Guys like Boogy and such are a thing of the past though and nothing to concern ourselves with. We have seen how ineffective they are. I used to be a big supporter of having a heavyweight tough guy, but we don’t need one. We just need some guys like Stortini, Vandermeer and such who can play AND fight.

Robin Brownlee has been really plugging John Scott lately.. but I wonder how much he’s seen him play. He can fight, but he can’t play D all that well. Colton Orr is a different story. He’s a guy that can actually play hockey well enough to be in the lineup. Not sure if we could land him and what he’d cost though.

I’d like to see us with at least one more guy in the light heavyweight area… those are the guys that will defend teammates when the time comes. The heavyweights are a sideshow. It’s not often at all that you see a heavyweight pound on a smaller guy, even after that smaller guy has done some damage to a teammate. So I’ll take a pass on the full time enforcer, and I know you weren’t suggesting a full time enforcer, but rather a guy that can play too… but I don’t think John Scott is that guy. Orr is though, if he can be had for a decent price tag.
