Oilers sign Petry to entry level NHL deal
As per the Oil’s official e-mail:
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have signed Jeff Petry to a two-year NHL entry level contract.
Petry, the Oilers 1st choice, 45th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, recently completed his third season with Michigan State University of the CCHA.

I’m going to assume that this means we may see him in Oilers silks as soon as tonight! But I’m not sure if that is the case. This has been rumored for a bit though, that we’d see him play either in Springfield or with Edmonton after MSU’s season was done.

To answer my own question, Petry is playing in Springfield right now.
I hope they bring him up for a few games before season ends.
I saw Eberle got another assist tonight too, I think that makes it 3g 5a 8 points in five games played.
Nice, good to hear he’s playing so well down there right now. Very easy transition for him.
I credit my opinion for this signing.
