Monday Morning Standings – Wednesday edition.. d’oh!

Don't worry, the babe is down below, perverts...
In Oilers news, the Oil have now officially clinched dead last (thus the picture above). The skunk is symbolic of how smelly this season was. But hey.. Taylor Hall, bitches! (maybe)
In other news, the baby-Oilers (Springfield Falcons) have signed a UofA winger, according to the Edmonton Sun:
Former U of A Golden Bears winger Jesse Gimblett — who was dominant in the CIS nationals on the weekend — signed an AHL deal with the Springfield Falcons. He had 21 goals and 22 assists in 39 games with the Bears.
In the pool, Steve-O conquered Trogdor in an epic battle for the right to get hammered by me in the next round. Johnny O’Dangles eliminated Retro Chick in their quarterfinal match-up, and is currently facing gr8one. He is down 6-3, currently, and I have a commanding (hell yes!) 9-1 lead on Steve-O (but I expect that to change quickly).
Based on all our motorcycle talk lately, here is this weeks MMS girl:

Here you go, pre-verts!

MMS Girl is Steve-O approved.
I put my stamp of approval on her as well.
just saw that the Oilers recalled Charles Linglet from Springfield, which I am curious to see how he looks.
he’s a career minor leaguer it looks like, but he is leading Springfield in scoring and is a PPG player down there this season on a terrible team.
http://oilers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=523444
Anyways, interesting they’re still not deciding to give Eberle a look.
Yah I saw that about Linglet. I thought he was an AHL lifer.
And I suspect that they’re still searching for that magic power forward who will come in and have insta-chemistry. Seems they’ve been hunting for that all season, off and on.
In a way too, there have been a lot of people banging the “don’t rush any more prospects!” drum, and this pretty much coincides with that, so it isn’t so bad.
So the Falcons have been bolstered quite a bit due to some CHL and NCAA backup. The Pilepline Show has a very good write up about it here:
http://thepipelineshow.blogspot.com/2010/03/falcons-getting-more-help.html
According to the SUN today, they said they are probably trying to keep Eberle away from this shit show of a team until they can cut more dead weight or as the SUN put it, “Change the culture”
LOL The Oilers almost fooled me with the Top story on their website stating that Devon Dubnky will be playing center against the Stars on Friday
once the morning fog cleared I realized what day it is
They even have a whole video about it LOL.
hahah…that was awesome, very well done video, HILARIOUS!
I like Strudwick’s comments on how Potulny has the body for goaltending, and how the tan could help him. lol
yeah, and how Renney deadpanned everything to a T, he was almost believable.
Looks like our captain Ethan Moreau might be a healthy scratch vs the Stars.
http://www.faceoff.com/Quinn+bench+captain+Moreau/2754280/story.html
I really do not think Moreau brings much to the table and I also think that this has been a long time coming especially considering how Comrie has been rotated in and out of the lineup without due cause. Just because he wears the “C” should not mean he is immune to watching from the catwalk when his play dictates so.
I think him being a healthy scratch SCREAMS out that hes not coming back next season. I can’t see the Oilers bringing him back, I’d be happy with a 5th rounder for him.
I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. Could happen, might not though.. but it would be nice to see him sit a bit.
You honestly think with all this talk of change and those words coming from Tambi himself he will keep Moreau? I doubt it
Absolutely loved that April Fool’s feature – couldn’t watch it until I got home from work, I can’t believe no one cracked up in the middle of those interviews!
Racki – your Hemsky story was almost as good…sadly, I can picture that happening though.
I sure hope not, but stranger things have happened here.
