Injury update…
By Trogdor, March 12, 2010 9:56 amD Ryan Whitney took a shot off the inside of his right knee late in the second period, hobbled off the ice and did not return for the third. He’ll be X-rayed and evaluated Friday. Ethan Moreau’s stiff neck is getting better, but he still sat out Thursday night. Patrick O’Sullivan lost the nail on his left ring finger after a first period slash Tuesday against Ottawa, but it’s not broken. He might re-join the team sometime on this four-game trip. – Edmonton Sun

Hope Whitney is not out too long. At first I thought he might have hurt his foot blocking that shot and that really scared me considering his chronic foot problems.
gawdamnit!
Hopefully he’s back soon… he’s played pretty well with Gilbert.
Just a deep bone bruise and the X-ray showed no further damage so there is probably not much to worry about with Whitney other then missing another game or two. He is listed a questionable for the game tomorrow.
well that’s good then.
Good to hear it’s nothing to worry about. Now we can focus on building a robotic fingernail for O’Sullivan.
