GDT – Edmonton Oilers 3, Anaheim Ducks 7 – Feb 14, 2010 @ 5:00 PM – PPV – Game 61

GDT - Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks
PRE-GAME RANT
Well first off, Happy Valentine’s Day to all you non-single folks. Today is an earlier game, with a 5:00PM start. It’ll be on PPV and I may end up missing this one. The Oilers are fresh off a pretty exciting shootout win vs. the Kings, after a pretty bleak road trip. The Ducks are coming off of a 3-1 loss to Calgary yesterday, but have won 5 of their last 7 games, however. These two teams met on the Oilers recent road trip, with the Ducks winning it by a score of 3-2. I only caught part of the 3rd period for this game last time around, so I’m not too sure how close the score really was. However, tonight I’ll pick a win.
Prediction: 4-3 Oilers

GAME NOTES
- Today’s lines… I picked the same Oilers lines as last game. I also picked the same Ducks lines as the Wednesday’s game. Obviously these are subject to change.
- Jacques looks to be having back issues again and missed yesterday’s practice.
POST-GAME RANT
Penalties are bad, mmm’kay?

Oh hey, a Canadian won gold today! (first ever on Canadian soil).
Mens freestyle moguls, Alex Bilodeau – http://tsn.ca/olympics/story/?id=310299
4 on 3 is just what I need for the pool.. damn it, someone break Perry’s leg or something..
Holy crap what a shot.
Please no point for Perry on that one…. :S
Yikes… 7-3 now…
Man, I feel pretty bad for this team.. how demoralizing is this… yet another ass kicking.
Woohoo!! Nice to hear, especially after Jenn Heil(sp?) had to settle for silver last night – which in the grand scheme of things is nothing to be ashamed of, but the American girl deserved the gold IMO.
So nice to hear we got gold in the men’s moguls. My knees hurt just thinking about it…
Yeah, they were in it for quite a while too. Hopefully they can just forget about hockey this week.
Edit – but bogus 3 stars, sorry. No way a team losing 7-3 should get #2 & #3 stars. Hopefully they weren’t the official ones as that would be embarrassing.
Anyway, goodnight! Thanks Racki, I’m off to get some work done, before the work week starts.
NBC is playing the moguls comp right now and I just watched the Gold medal run, he was unbelievable.
huge air aand massive speed, those moguls guys are crazy, awesome awesome run!!!!!!
woooooooo!!!
and Racki, if it’s possible to have a “good game” in fantasy hockey, I’d say we just did that.
good game!
Just saw it – wow! And we placed 4th and 5th as well.
hahah, yes, fantastic game in the yahoo pool, gr8one..

I didn’t hear the 3 stars.. will have to go hunt those down..
The official NHL site has Moreau as #3, Selanne as #2, and Getzlaf as #1.
