It was pretty sad, all around effort. I think it could have been a lot worse but the Hawks laid off a bit. They were still skating circles around our guys. There was a replay on the first Toews goal where you can actually see the 3 Oiler forwards that were behind the play pull up and give up on any attempt at a backcheck. There was no forecheck and even when there was a loose puck the only player that even looked interested in getting it was always a Hawk. Add to the the giveaway after giveaway and careless go nowhere passing…

The only bright point was that I can see the Oilers of the future in the Hawks, assuming our management has the vision to realize the changes that need to happen to get us there.

Racki: Yeah I turned it on just before they got a pp in the third and then two seconds later POS single handed, well maybe he had two hands on the stick, took it away. Then I watched from there on mostly, well apart from helping my girlfriend with formatting her paper.

zackman35: Tank for Tyler.All in all it looked like a pretty good effort from the Oilers, from what I saw in the third, would have been good to see Gags drop the gloves even if it was against Kane.

Did you only watch the third? They were non-existent in the first two and made some pretty sloppy plays throughout. Gilbert and Grebeshkov were both pretty sloppy, as was JDD often. This wasn't a 4-2 game, really. I'm surprised it stayed so close.
