Thanks for the complement.. we've let ourselves slide the last month or so, but there hasn't been much to talk about. Hockey season is almost upon us though...

If you are a spam bot, I'll take this all as a complement anyways.

Hey Boos, thanks for the compliment... glad to have you around. Just as an FYI (because it won't be obvious right now), this site is primarily an Edmonton Oilers site. But we do discuss other things in the NHL (as well as the big tourneys like the World Juniors and the Olympics) when those are going on. But you might be in for a surprise had I not mentioned that when we switch gears back to Oiler hockey!

Fans of all teams are definitely welcome here, and you wouldn't be alone in that... I presume you're a Flyers fan. One of the authors here (Trogdor) is also a fellow Flyer fan.

Yeah that makes sense. I really like this site, I'm glad I found it. My favorite line from slapshot is "maybe we'll call a pizza parlor....why don't you call a massage parlor"

I don't think he's consistently good enough to be a guy you think of as a lock for the team. But he probably could have made it. Who would you take out though? Maybe Backes or Pavelski? Even though his NHL numbers aren't stellar, I can understand why Backes is there. He's also been good for the US.
