A little "team toughness" would be nice right about now.

Why did no one jump that piece of shit and teach him a lesson? Regardless of instigator rule. No questions asked, just get in there and start swinging.

PRE-GAME RANT

Well I gots to run off to a meeting here super soon, and will be in meetings all day so I can’t add much to this post.

I am going to the game tonight…so I predict a victory for the Oil.

Now some Racki-stats:

Racki here…Just a couple more things to add to the pre-game rant. First off, the Kings are coming off a pair of losses – one versus the Flyers, the other a 5-2 loss Saturday afternoon to the Flames. They’ve had a few days to mull that one over. The Oilers, meanwhile, have won 2 of the last 3 games, including a big 4-0 win on PPV vs. the Coyotes on Monday (albeit not their best 60-min performance), and a 6-4 win over the Avalanche previous to a 5-2 romping by the Blackhawks. I wanted to use the Jets logo, but Racki thought that would be lazy

PRE-GAME RANT

We got our asses kicked on Saturday. But just think, its not so bad. The Blackhawks are going to win the cup this year so at least we lost to a really good team.

I spent the weekend split between one of two states (drunk or hungover) so they had better win and make my head feel better. But its PPV so I won’t be ordering this one, and I’m not sure my brain can handle Mr. Phillips right now.

The oilers need a win, and pronto, or the season is going to reach the point where there is no coming back (of course they will win a bunch at the end and make it look close). Khabibulin is out for his yearly injury break, the coaching staff isn’t pleased with our best player (who is on a career year to date), a group of our veterans had a fantastic meeting with the coaching staff letting them know that they should pull their heads out of their asses (I’m guessing) and …oh crap, I just realized I have a hockey game tonight so I won’t be watching this one.

Oh darn.

GDT - Edmonton Oilers vs. Chicago Blackhawks

PRE-GAME RANT

Well, nothing like facing a team right after they’ve handed another team their asses. The Blackhawks are coming off a 7-1 punishment of the Flames and are currently on a 5 game winning streak. The Oilers consistency this year has been non-existent, but they’ve won some games that most wouldn’t have expected (ex. vs. the Avalanche twice and vs. the Predators on the road). They currently are on a lengthy one-game winning streak, with an ugly, but exciting, win over the Avalanche on Wednesday.

In recent news, the Quinn/Renney doghouse has been getting a few visitors. In the last game, Gilbert was benched for most of the 2nd period for his defensive issues. Quinn was quoted recently in regards to the teams defensemen “I don’t care that they’re offensive.
