So I missed the first 2 periods as I was held up at work, thought I would be home for puck drop and so didn’t set the DVR. Honestly, it seems I miss more Oiler games the closer they get to my own time zone. Relying on your summary Racki, happy to hear they played decently overall. With a 5 game home stand coming up, I’m hoping now that there is a bit more consistency in the lineup that they can crank off a couple of wins. I think I said this yesterday, it’s almost like a new season, a new starting point.

I very happy with the OVERALL team play during this road trip. They deserved all 4 points they got, and deserved 2 more without doubt, as they should have won in Ottawa and CBJ. The Oilers could have won all 5 of those games, there were chances in EACH game that easily could have been goals, but instead were missed or great stops. Those will go in soon. I staying by my pick of 7th overall in the conference this season. I think when JFJ gets back, this team will starting winning. The only thing they are missing is physical play, the offense is there, the goaltending is there, but sometimes the physical play isn’t. Souray and Horcs continue to make impacts, and those will only get bigger. Grebs, JFJ and Stone will all help when back. These guys are just about to turn the corner, trust me. There will be playoffs this season, 7th spot trust me!
