Ok, so we’ve been thinking of a bunch of ideas that we can do to make the site a bit better (and feedback from you guys would definitely help.
Anyways, one thought we had was to have a separate section that allows anyone to post their own articles. So you’d all have full creative control over posts (like we do) rather than just making comments (i.e. you can create the same kinds of posts as we do). It won’t appeal to everyone, of course, but it might be something a few of you are interested in. I wanted to gauge interest to see if it’s worth working on.
So, that’s a segue into today’s poll:

GDT - Edmonton Oilers vs. Chicago Blackhawks
The Oilers are coming off a monster 6-1 win over Nashville on Monday in which JDD and Stortini were the story. JDD stopped 40 of 41 shots, while Stortini had 2 goals, and a fight. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, came back from 5-0 against the Flamers on Monday to win 6-5 in OT (DropIt, you’re going to need to explain how the hell that happens). At about the midway point of the 1st period, the Flames were up 5-0. Huet was chased from the net after allowing 3 goals on 5 shots. GDT - Edmonton Oilers / Nashville Predators
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I won’t be around today, but as usual, feel free to talk about the game before, during and after in this post. I’ll be leaving for Thanksgiving dinner #2 later this afternoon.
Tonight’s game starts at 6PM and is televised on Sportsnet.
The Oilers are coming off a win over the Canadiens on Saturday. While the Oilers were pretty strong through the 2nd period, they could barely hang on to the lead, drawing attention from Coach Pat Quinn. “In the first four games, we’ve given up points in the last minute of two games… again, the last shift of the second period,” Quinn said. “That’s when you have to get mentally tough. That’s when you don’t lose the battles. That’s not the time for pretty stuff. Keep what you got. It’s like the old pool hustlers. It’s not what you make, it’s what you save. When you’re leaving ducks out there for the other guy to ram home, Fast Eddie is going to reach in your pocket.”
