Monday Morning Standings…again on Tuesday

With Toronto's pick, the Bruins are happy to select, at #1 in the 2010 draft, Taylor Hall.
I wanted to do this weekly on Monday mornings, even though it has no real value now it will get more and more interesting as the season goes on (or less and less depending on who you cheer for).
But Mondays apparently suck at work right now, so here it is on Tuesday.

And in the pool, I’m holding down #2 (gr8one at #1) with Racki and Trogdor at #4 and #6 respectively.

I love all that bullshit that Burke was selling to the fans and the NHL world… it was literally bullshit
Yah Burke is so full of it, it’s coming out his ears. Good luck, Leafs fans.
Now who would have thought the Avs would be holding down 1st in the West and the Wings out of the playoffs at any point in the season? Likewise in the East with the Thrashers in and the Bruins out?
I really hope the Isles can get a couple of wins soon though, for Roli’s sake.
I can’t wait for the Isles to meet the Laffs
Battle for the first win!
Naw – the Isles will be playing the Habs before the Leafs. Nothing cures the woes of a struggling team better than a game against the Habs. I can say that b/c my husband is a die hard Habs fan and can attest to that.
I think teams like the Bruins will completely turn it around. Unfortunately, I think the Wings, and Canucks will too. Mayyybe the Ducks too. Although i wouldn’t bet money on that one.
Hot starts will fade and for the sake of one of my pools, I hope Detroit turns things around soon. I need some better numbers out of Osgood.
I wouldn’t count on Osgood doing anything at all anytime soon… Which sucks for the players’ +/-
I’m amazed at the super slow start Getzlaf is having, he could singlehandedly turn the Ducks around. Many people put him as the #4 after Crosby, Ovechkin, and Malkin. That surgery he had probably is having some effect on him.
I have Getzlaf in my pool, so i want to see him pick it up. On the other hand, my NHL 10 team is all Ducks fans, and one of them seriously predicted that the Oilers will not get 50 points this year, so i would love to see the Ducks fail.
Ask your Ducks buddies if they are aware hockey was going on before 2003 (their first trip to the big show when people started to hop back on the bandwagon there).
