Hop in the pool!
It’s almost regular season time, folks. That means it’s hockey pool time! Putting on the Foil visitor “gr8one” has kindly offered to manage a Yahoo! league. It’s a 12-team league, and there are 3 teams taken already (myself, gr8one and his fiancée). So if you do the math, that means you have to hurry the heck up and join if you want to join.
So how do you join? Shoot gr8one an e-mail at: email@example.com and he will reply back with the instructions on how to join. Note: please include your username that you use here (if you have one) or one that you use on the Oilers Message Board or other locations.
Lets hope that Racki puts more effort into finding a new host than I do with these pictures
Well I don’t know how many people are going to see this but Racki is working his ass off to get things running again.
Anyways I test drove a WRX today. Stupid amounts of fun.
Oh yeah, and the Oil are playing the canucks. We are awesome, they suck so the outcome should be in our favor but I think I just jinxed it. Damn.
My head hurts…
Oh, and here are the lines. I jacked them straight from the 630 ched site. Continue reading 'GDT: Oilers 1, Canucks 3 – Pre-season Game 4 – 2009-09-19'»
And now we know who has all the talent on this site...
Well, its been a while since I’ve been able to put anything up here due to vacation, hockey games, concerts and work being stupid busy but I figured that I’ll give Racki a break and take care of today’s game day thread.
I don’t know what the lines are yet, I’ll post them when they are known (aka when I know what they are).
UPDATE: LINES HAVE BEEN UPDATED. Continue reading 'GDT: Oilers 4, Panthers 0 – Pre-season Game 3 – 2009-09-18'»
Two prices? Maybe the beer is cheaper too!
So, I’ve been away hob knobbing and travelling the U.K. and Europe over the last 2 hockey seasons but, I’m back, I’m employed, and I’m interested in buying tickets again. Just picked up a pair for the 23rd as the Flames are in town and so is my dad, so it’s a good opportunity to sneak out on our own for a night. As I was on the website though I discovered that there is a class distinction among teams now. I’m not sure how they did their figuring, but it looks like it has something to do with the quality of opponent visiting Rexall. I’m sure they’ll still charge in the Blue half of the chart when the Leafs get to town, but really, do they deserve it?
My dad won’t care if we have to shovel ice to be at the game or spend $500, just so that we can be there, but hopefully tickets won’t sell out so fast that it comes down to that. Yes, my father is a Leafs fan… Any season ticket holders out there going away for Christmas?
Anyways, back to the pricing breakdown, I’ve been gone for 2 years so maybe this isn’t a new thing. Anyone else know? And how do the teams feel that get “Coppered” so to speak? Are they insulted and try harder to earn the ticket holders respect or are they dejected and fearful of what degrading acts may befall them the next time they come to town?
