Some people don't need any help...

UPDATED: All our predictions are up, Trogdor showed off and I added a few more predictions from around the internerds.

Well, the pre-season prognosticators are getting out their guesses for the season, so I decided that I will compile a list of them where we can discuss/ridicule/cajole their predictions, make our own and have it all down on record for the end of the season where we can come back and see how very very wrong we are.

Here are the rankings as I find them. I will post more as they come to my attention.

   DropIt, I honestly can’t turn off my Homer glasses when I try to predict the Oilers in the west, though If I could I would probably go with 9-11th. I still somehow see us in 8th this year with the homer glasses on, lol…

   As for Calgary, I think 3rd is pretty optimistic. I don’t see Calgary finishing ahead of the Nucks or Chicago, but we’ll see. Calgary needs a legit backup goalie about as bad as the Oilers likely do…

   I could see Edmonton in the playoffs, it could easily happen. I just see some stronger teams in my eyes.

   As for Calgary, 3rd-5th is where I expect. Chicago is a great, young team. But they are putting a lot of faith in Huet, who I just don’t have a lot of faith in at this time. And as for Vancouver, they are incredibly similar teams. Both good goaltending, as long as kipper can get off to a good start this year, the edge is obviously in Vancouvers favour. Defense, its hard to argue Calgary’s talent and depth on the back end. Calgary wins in that department. And offensively, both teams have some depth questions…
   How I look at it, the sisters vs. Iggy/OJ… Numbers will likely be very similar. Langkow is the better 2nd line centre of the teams. And should put up similar points to Sammuelson And both teams have 2-3 players that could hit mid 20′s in goals. Almost even in my mind on offense.
   Also remember the Canucks have that treacherous road stint surrounding the Olympics.

   I think its going to be a dog fight to the end like it was last season. But like you, I have a light tint of red in the glasses I wear

   sadly on the TSN special earlier tonight they predicted the Oil at 11th
