So an indictment has been officially handed down to Kane which means it could go to trial but as most people speculate, and rightly so, it will very likely be settled out of court with an undisclosed amount going to the cab driver.

At least the courts aren’t giving him preferential treatment for his stupidity. Keep the material coming Mr. Kane!

Yah at $1.1M, I think there are very few teams out there that could use a Vinny Prospal.

Bertuzzi, I know we could have used, as we could use someone with his size. But at the same time, it would require pushing out one of our current top six, and I wouldn’t want to see one of our kids go for anyone but a very good talent.

I’ve always liked Prospal. Not sure why we wouldn’t try and sign him really. I’ve been an advocate of this in the past when he was available. Good/potentially great signing by the Rags.

Bertuzzi deja vu all over again. He had a decent year last year and they will be giving him lots of ice time with Hudler and Hossa gone. He’ll do well I think.

Also, this gives me a reason to not like Kane. His “appology” was a joke. He’s so guilty. Out of court settlement coming up for sure.

Yah seriously, you gotta love it. Sather probably wins some fans back big time after letting Zherdev walk.

Now if only our own illustrious GM would take some similar risks. Prospal is obviously a bit of an exception though since his contract is part paid for, but I’m thinking there are still some good UFA bargains to be had. No need to mention any specific names again though.
